Before Time Runs Out is a Habanero video slot that blends a fantasy storyline with gems and mining imagery. The player follows a Prince who must collect six gems and defeat the scheming Vizier to rescue the Princess. This review covers how the game plays, what its high volatility and 66,667x maximum win mean for your bankroll, and the safety points worth checking before you play for real money.
Gameplay and Features
The slot centres on a collection mechanic. The story asks you to gather all six gems before the clock runs out, so the Collect Feature is the heart of the session and gives the base game a goal beyond matching symbols.
Wins are formed with Horizontal and Vertical Pays, a layout built around 15 coins rather than a traditional reel-and-payline grid. Check the in-game paytable for the exact grid configuration and symbol values.
Free Spins and Jackpots
The game also includes Free Spins and Jackpots. Free spin rounds are usually where a slot's strongest potential sits, while jackpot features add a fixed-prize layer on top of regular wins. The paytable explains how each is triggered and what the prizes are.
Try It in Demo Mode
A free demo is available on this site. Playing it first is a sensible way to learn how the collection feature behaves and how often bonuses appear, without staking any money.
Math Profile: Volatility, RTP and Max Win
Volatility is high. Expect longer stretches of small or empty spins, balanced by the potential for larger payouts when features land. The maximum win is 66,667x the stake, a ceiling that is reached only rarely and should be treated as a theoretical upper limit.
Operators can offer different RTP versions of the same game, so open the in-game info screen to see the figure at your casino. For bankroll planning, high volatility favours smaller stakes and a larger number of spins, with a firm budget set before you start. Treat sessions as entertainment, not as a way to make money.
Fairness, Licensing and Safe Play
Licensed online slots rely on a certified random number generator, so every spin is independent and past results do not influence the next. Independent testing labs such as eCOGRA, iTech Labs and BMM Testlabs test RNG output and payout calculations to confirm that games behave as designed.
Before depositing, confirm that the casino holds a valid licence from a recognised regulator such as the MGA or UKGC, and check the licence details in the site footer. Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over. Use deposit and time limits, never chase losses, and seek support from an organisation such as BeGambleAware if play stops being fun.
